Asier Carazo
Atomic 212º
Originally from Spain, Asier Carazo made the move to Australia in 2018 when he was poached to lead the Havas Melbourne strategy team. Prior to this, Carazo spent time with Havas’s sister agencies in New York and Bogota as part of an international exchange program. Having received recognition for his work with World Vision, he then made the move to Atomic 212° in April 2020
As we now know, 2020 presented challenges in the form of a global pandemic and for Melbourne, a three-month lockdown. Despite this, Carazo helped revamp Atomic 212°’s strategic approach and deliver a new agency proposition of ‘Smarter, Faster, Accountable Media’. This change brought with it success, with the agency winning competitive pitches for BMW Group Australia, Dan Murphy’s, BWS, HortInnovation and the Alcohol & Drug Foundation.
To improve the industry, Carazo believes greater emphasis on shared focus can help businesses act fast and ultimately stay afloat during tough times. His wish for 2021 and onwards is to keep the mutual focus, simplicity and collaboration that the industry embraced in 2020.
